Terms

Quazar Read (read.quazar.school) is run by Scapaa Technologies (OPC) Private Limited ("Quazar", "we"), 3rd Floor, Plot No. 102, HBH Colony, Sector 46, Mathura Road, Faridabad, Haryana 121003, India. These terms cover subscriptions to Quazar, in print and online, and using this website.

What you get

Quazar is a monthly science and maths magazine in three editions, chosen by reading level: Junior, Middle and Senior. A subscription is one year, 12 monthly issues, of the edition you choose, in one of two forms:

  • Digital: each issue is read online on this website, on a laptop, computer or tablet. Nothing is posted.
  • Print + digital: each issue is posted to the address you give us, and read online too.

A subscription shows its issues from the month it starts. Print + digital is paid for a year at a time. Digital can be paid yearly or monthly; a monthly subscription gives one issue for each month paid. Every subscription includes the puzzles on this website, marked as you answer them, with the answers and working.

Your free issue

Every Quazar sign-in gets one free issue: the latest issue, online with its puzzles, in one edition of your choice (Junior, Middle or Senior). No payment and no subscription needed. If you subscribe without having had it, the issue of the month you subscribe in is your free issue, in the edition you subscribe to, and your paid issues start after it.

Who can subscribe

One sign-in, one subscription. Anyone with a Quazar sign-in can subscribe, for themselves or for someone else. Under 18? You need a parent's or guardian's permission, and they pay with their card. The magazine and its puzzles are yours.

Prices and payment

You see the price before you pay. It is in Indian rupees if you live in India (or the magazine is posted to India) and in US dollars everywhere else. Postage is included in print prices. In India, GST at 18% is added to digital prices and shown before you pay; printed magazines carry no GST. Outside India there is no GST. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we never see or keep your card, bank or UPI details.

Renewal

A yearly subscription renews every year, and a monthly one every month, at the price shown at the time, and we charge the same payment method on the renewal date shown on My subscription (in the menu under your initial). Whoever reads the copy, or whoever paid for it, can stop renewal there at any time; everything already paid for still comes. After stopping it, "Turn renewal back on" on the same page carries it on after the issues already paid for, charged from then. A copy bought for someone else renews only if you choose that when you buy.

When your issues start

Digital: your first paid issue is the next month's. Print + digital: order on or before the 20th of a month and your first issue is the next month's; order after the 20th and it's the month after. The last step before you pay shows your first issue. Digital issues are online from the 1st of their month.

Reading online

Digital issues are for the reader whose sign-in they are on and their family, read on this website while signed in. They can't be downloaded, printed or shared, and each page shows whose copy it is. Please don't copy, record or pass on the pages or your sign-in. We may pause online access if a copy is being shared outside the family.

Buying for someone else

A copy you buy for someone else goes to the email you give: it shows up on their own sign-in when they sign in with it. You see who it went to and whether they've picked it up, and you can stop its renewal or change its address. What they read, solve and love stays theirs. A printed copy comes with a card from you in the first issue.
